These types of cancer can be quite aggressive and must be diagnosed early to act immediately.
No doubt you have heard of breast cancer, colon cancer, or ovarian cancer. You may even know some statistical information about them. On the other hand, there are a number of rare cancer types that should not be ignored.
Because they are very rare about these cancers, you may not have heard much and it is very unlikely that you will be caught. However, only 11 of 71 identified cancers are well known.
That’s why we need to know more about the rare types of cancer in order to be informed and aware.
1. Foot Cancer
Although they are not normally associated with the word olabilir cancer olabilir, they may actually be related. Standing tumors are often unnoticeable, which is what makes them the most dangerous.
If you notice any of the following signs of danger:
- Strange feelings
- Clumping studies
A podiatrist can identify this type of cancer and find that after evaluating, it is the following species:
- Bone cancer
- Nerve cancer
- Skin cancer
- Vascular cancer
The most common type of cancer around the foot is skin cancer. If you are normally wearing sandals or if your feet are constantly exposed to sunlight, you should always use sunscreen.
2. Vaginal Cancer
The latter only affects 1% of women in the list of rare cancers: vaginal cancer. Women who have entered menopause are more likely to have vaginal cancer. Those who have previously had sexually transmitted diseases such as human papilloma virus should be particularly careful.
The good news is that these tumors are relatively small and can be easily removed by surgical intervention. If you go to the recommended annual gynecology appointments regularly, you are doing the right thing to avoid this type of cancer.
3. Salivary Gland Cancer
The enzymes produced by your salivary gland are important for proper digestion of food and avoidance of infection. This third type of cancer directly affects the body, but only 1 in 100,000 people suffer from this disease. Symptoms of salivary gland cancer include:
- Clumping in the ears
- Tuber formation in the jaw
- Bump formation in and around the mouth
Radiation and surgical intervention is needed for the treatment of this type of cancer, but if diagnosed on time, you will recover 90%.
Unlike other cancers, this cancer has nothing to do with tobacco or alcohol use. What we know is that this species is greatly influenced by hereditary factors.
The fourth type of cancer we want to talk about today is known as chordoma. Such bones are self-contained, especially in the spine and only in a million people. Doctors; found that the chordoma was formed as a result of the mis-development of the small cartilage remnants of the fetus.
As it is one of the rare types of cancer, it is difficult to investigate and understand this type. There is no consensus that the emergence of chordoma is triggered by hereditary factors or something else.
What is known is that due to the position of my chordoma, it is aggressive and painful but it grows slowly.
The symptoms associated with chordoma include:
- Neck pain
- Double vision
- Loss of bowel and bladder functions
- Tingling in the arms and legs
Chordomas tend to show resistance to radiation, chemotherapy and drug use. The usual treatment is therefore surgical intervention, which is not always possible according to the size and location of the tumor.
Another complicating factor is the fact that it is difficult to remove the chordoma completely, which leads to the possibility of recurrence.
The last of these rare cancers is known as mesenchymal chondrosarcoma and manifests itself in cartilage tissue. It is so rare that since 1959 only 1000 cases have been verified.
The good news is that it is rare; it is very aggressive and can infect other organs. Documented from known cases are:
Two-thirds of this type of cancer begins from the spine, ribs and jaw bones.
One third starts from fat and muscle tissues.
Since mesenchymal chondrosarcoma may begin anywhere in the body, it is difficult to detect and monitor the symptoms. The best solution is to keep your personal health under care and to go to your appointment with your GP once a year.
When this cancer occurs near the backbone, you may experience loss of sensation or experience a severe condition such as being paralyzed. The best treatment modality is surgical intervention and chemotherapy.
